Baseball Back!

Great video on why baseball would suck if it wasn't for Dominicans 🇩🇴 😉

Join Lee and Co at ESPN touched on how baseball has had unwritten rules in place forever. They put a race touch on it. And if we want to be soft and gushy about it stop reading this.

Babe Ruth changed baseball forever a century ago (which some how makes me feel older since that was 70 years ago when I was a kid 😑 I am a silver fox, I am a silver fox 😑) when he began hitting more home runs on his own, than other teams did in total.

Yea.

There's the famous photo, which I'm surprised hasn't been memed yet, of Babe Ruth pointing to where he was going to hit his next home run.

This was the Babe Ruth lore.

He actually considered himself a hoodlum. A street kid.

His parents apparently couldn't control him and allowed for a catholic school to adopt him at 6 years old! 😧6?!

The biggest sports star in the country was a natural rebel he had movie star charisma and absolutely was fluent in speak easy.

A rebel without a cause.

You're telling me the goat of baseball wouldn't be bat flipping today??

That he wouldn't be trying to rebel against whatever "unwritten rules?"

Tsk tsk.

The Bambino would've probably had 100 Jose Batista bat flips in this era.

I've scrolled thru several articles watched a couple of videos on the Sultan and surprise, no mention of unwritten rules.

Read something about him drinking a beer and eating a hot dog during games, every time he visited Chicago.

He would've flipped the bat and the bird on all these rules.

Anyway, we gotta start a rumor that Babe Ruth was Dominican. It would explain a lot. There's already a rumor that he was black so, we're halfway there.

Speaking of black players.

They used to call Hank Aaron a classy ball player. Why??

Because he let white people round 3rd base with him as he completed his record breaking home run trot?

Was Jackie Robinson "classy?"

I don't know. But I do know I don't know any of these people, never met them. I don't know how they treated others for the most part.

I remember vividly, Barry Bonds, before steroids (on steroids he was the best thing to watch in sports history. Yes he was) spinning in place after hitting a pitch and prior to it landing on the other side of the fence officially becoming a home run.

Hilarious!

Ken Griffey Junior looked like the bat flip was a part of his goat swing.

This is sports people. The best adults we were able to gather to play A GAME and entertain us while doing it.

Chill out and enjoy.
